Welcome to the Wild Wanders section, a selection of diarised tales from various days out that we have indulged in as part of our enthusiasm for the natural world. Unlike many blogs I am using this as a vehicle to encourage rather than impress and if, by doing these textual accounts, I can enthuse you to get out a little more, have a little more interest, respect and know how as regards Mother Nature and all her charms then I will be more than happy! I do hope it gives you a flavour of the joys of getting 'out there' and enjoying all the seasons, the varied habitats and the numerous living things that we can easily overlook in this 100mph world. I would be overjoyed if it encourages you to take a little more time scouting your own nooks and crannies (no sexual suggestion intended) and to start listing a few things along the way and eventually recording your sightings. As your knowledge builds so more will become apparent and the joys are there to be had. Anyway you get my point - read on, consider and go for it!
